Our story

Built for the places the journey takes you.

Born from a real EV travel problem, we’ve been charging New Zealand’s drivers since 2023. Our goal is to build New Zealand’s largest and most extensive charging network, at the places people already stop, stay and park.

Our ambition

One country.
More destinations.

Our goal is to build New Zealand’s largest and most extensive charging network.

At the motel in town. The cabin off the beaten track. The place you work, and the places you go to get away. We want useful charging to be part of the destination.

Places to stop.
Places to charge.

Destination Charge

Global experience, practical charging

At Destination Charge, we bring together experience from startups, global technology companies, major financial institutions and Fortune 500 organisations across the United States, Europe and Silicon Valley.

That background has shaped how we build: practical technology, simple customer experiences and reliable systems that solve real problems.

We created Destination Charge to make EV charging easier in the places drivers already stop, stay and park. Our focus is on simple, accessible charging that works for hosts, guests and everyday EV journeys.
