What does it cost a host?

Destination Charge supplies the managed outlet hardware with no upfront hardware cost or monthly fees. Hosts pay for installation by a licensed electrician, with the cost depending on the site and cable route.

Check your site’s suitability ↗
Who pays for the electricity?

Guests pay through the Destination Charge charging flow. We track guest charging usage and reimburse hosts for the electricity used. Staff don’t need to calculate usage or take charging payments.

Do drivers need an app or a special cable?

No app is needed. Scan the outlet’s QR code and activate charging in your phone browser. Bring a portable EV charger suitable for the outlet at the site; a Type 2 public charging cable alone may not be enough.

How much charging can guests expect?

The system is designed for several hours of parking. A 15A outlet can provide up to about 3.5 kW where supported; some setups charge closer to 2 kW. Actual speed and added range depend on the car, portable charger, outlet and time parked.
